SAGINAW BAY Y SHARKS VALENTINE INVITATIONAL - February 4 @ John Glen High School.
There is only one a.m. session for this meet with all age groups. Warm up starts at 8:00 am and the meet starts at 8:45 am. We should all be done by noon.
8 & UNDER STATE MEET - February 18 @ Waterford Mott High School.
All of our 8 & under swimmers should attend this meet. It is an awesome meet. Everyone swims their own age. Entries due by Feb. 3rd
2012 MICHIGAN 9 & UP DISTRICT MEET - February 19 @ Waterford Mott High School.
This meet is only for kids without YMCA state meet qualifying times. Sort of a last chance to make qualifying times meet. Entries due by Feb. 3rd
2012 EASTERN CLUSTER CHAMPIONSHIP - February 11 & 12 @ Waterford Mott High School.
This meet will be split up into sessions by age. ENTRIES DUE BY Tuesday JAN. 31 I will not take entries after this date. Please make your decision quick, as Chet is running short on patience for late entries. This meet is considered a Full Team Effort Meet... Everyone qualifies to swim this Championship Meet and everyone should compete.

February 7th at St. Thomas Aquinas cafeteria. If you need additional tickets please ask Chet. I would encourage everyone to participate, as this is our only fundraiser of the winter. Mark it on your calendar because there will be no practice that day, in anticipation of a huge turn out for our spaghetti dinner. Don’t forget if you sell all of your tickets by Jan. 23. and turn in your money you get to get a team towel, so sell them fast. Nothing like a great spaghetti dinner.

STATE MEET QUALIFIERS posted 01/09/2012

This may seem a little premature... But... Hotels have a way of filling early so, If you know you are going to be going to the YMCA State Meet 2012 here is our hotel information. You may want to make a reservation as soon as you know you are going. We are only able to block 20 rooms at this time....

They have a 24 hour cancellation notification requirement for weekends.
Please mention arrival date and block name of Saginaw Bay Sharks by Jan. 24th 2012. You will need to reserve your room with your credit card.
For those of you who may not be aware, typically, at the YMCA Michigan State Meet, an age group swims only on Saturday OR Sunday... so if you have only one swimmer you may only need to stay one night if that is better for you. In the past, the schedule has been:
Saturday Morning Session (25th): 10 and Under Swimmers
Saturday Afternoon Session (25th): 11-12 Swimmers
Sunday Morning Session (26th): 13-14 Swimmers AND 15 and Over Swimmers

Zone qualifiers it will be here before we know it. We have reserved rooms for our team at the Best Western Plus North Canton, Ohio. 330-497-8799 front desk, press 0, March 16 & 17. The meet is March 16-18, 2012 Friday thru Sunday. Complimentary hot breakfast, indoor swimming pool, hot tub, exercise room, free wifi, microwave and fridge in rooms $79.99 + tax per night it is a ten minute drive to the pool McKinley High School. The block is under Saginaw Bay Sharks. You must book by February 24th.

SWIMMING PRACTICE EQUIPMENT posted 09/19/2011

Every practice we will be using kickboards and pull buoys. The YMCA has all of this equipment. However Heritage has limited supplies, due to our high school girls swimming right now. We will also be using fins at practice. It is recommended that you bring your own gear to practice, because there are limited supplies of fins at both pools. www.different-strokes.com There is a quick connect on the website for different strokes, or any swim store will have this equipment.
